US Congress: Health Benefits of Greek Cuisine

The health benefits of the Greek Mediterranean Diet were presented yesterday in the U.S. Congress. This event was organized by the Greek Embassy in Washington, with the cooperation of Members Joseph Crowley, Gus Bilirakis and Carolyn Maloney. Greek ambassador Christos Panagopoulos opened the event. Among the over 400 people in attendance, were Greek businessmen active in the American market, Americans parliamentarians, academics, journalists, diplomats and members of the social elite of Washington. All attendees had the opportunity to taste unique Greek flavors created by famous Greek and U.S. chefs. Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call turning to sugar. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey. Make sure your honey is untreated, unprocessed and not heated. This will have the greatest benefit. Caution honey is a form of sugar so too much honey of any kind is not good for the body. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists: ARTHRITIS:  Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the  Copenhagen  University , it was fou
